Strengthening Access to Credit and Cooperative Development 

CHF International’s community-based development programs in Bosnia and Herzegovina aim to improve the social and economic circumstances of families and communities.

Through the Innovating, Measuring and Promoting Poverty Alleviation by Cooperatives in Transition Societies (IMPPACTS) program, CHF is working with cooperative organizations to develop an environment that promotes and supports the growth of cooperative businesses.

At the same time, the Loan Initiative for the Development of Economic Regions (LIDER) is expanding access to credit. LIDER is a Bosnian micro-credit organization founded and owned by CHF International that aims to bridge gaps in access to credit by offering a range of loan products to under-served clients. With more than 5,000 borrowers and a portfolio of over $7 million. LIDER helps Bosnian entrepreneurs and homeowners obtain the credit they need to expand their businesses, improve their homes and invest in their future.
