Since inception in 1998, Ameen s.a.l. has disbursed more than 55,000 loans worth US$73 million. As of December 2009, it has an active portfolio of US$14 million serving over 13,000 borrowers.

Founded by CHF International, Ameen s.a.l. originates and services loans in partnership with four private commercial banks and has become one of the largest microfinance providers in Lebanon.

Ameen is committed to bringing commercial capital down to its low-income populations who are un- or underserved by traditional financial markets. Today Ameen offers a wide range of financial services from business to consumer loans, as well as, home improvement loans.
