Can I donate clothes, food or other supplies?
Cash contributions are preferable as they enable us to make a direct impact on the regional economies in which we work through our programs. It is our practice to purchase local goods from vendors in our project countries and hire local workers for construction projects. This approach provides an income for these individuals so they are able to purchase clothes, food and other supplies as they need them.
Can I donate stocks, property or securities?
CHF International is glad to consider any gift you are willing to make to support our valuable programs. Please contact us at 301-587-4700 to determine how and if your gift can be processed.
Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?
Online donations made with a credit card receive an immediate confirmation letter and electronic receipt. If you have mailed us a donation by credit card or check, you will receive a tax receipt statement along with your donor acknowledgement letter by mail.
Does my employer offer corporate matching gifts?
Your employer may have a matching gifts program! Many corporations will match their employees’ non-profit contribution dollar for dollar. Make sure to find out if your employer does this; your gift of $500 could actually be $1,000 with a corporate matching gift!
