CHF International began its second phase of clean up in Haiti on Thursday 28 January, by partnering with Haitian communities to clean up essential routes through Port au Prince.


Water supply and sanitation services remain inadequate in slum settlements, according to the Corporative Housing Foundation (CHF) International, an aid agency. The agency has therefore initiated a three-year program called the Water Access, Sanitation and Hygiene for Urban Poor (WASH -UP) Project. It began on October 1, 2009 and is expected to end on September 30, 2012. According to Francis Ampadu, Water and Sanitation Specialist of CHF International, the WASH-UP program will increase household access to improved and sustainable drinking water supply, as well as, sanitation facilities.


HELPS International, an integrated poverty reduction organization, is preparing to send 7,000 ONIL Water Purifying Systems to Haiti to provide clean potable water for 140,000 for a year.

On the 15th of November, CHF International Yemen held a workshop to present its ACCESS-Plus baseline study findings on child labor and child trafficking in Aden, Taiz, Hudeida and Hajja Governorates to all relevant stakeholders.
